MSF Field Research > About

To Upload Abstracts

It’s simpler than it looks!

bullet If you haven’t already, register as a new user. I’ve put in your MSF email address to allow you to register. If you are using a different address, let me know. You don’t need to enter a phone number during registration. Then create a password.

bullet Once you’ve registered, login and you will arrive at a page My MSF.

bullet There is a button to start a new submission towards the bottom. Click on that.

bullet You will now be able to choose a topic from a drag down menu – be sure you go to the Conference Abstracts topic (at the bottom of the list). Click Next.

bullet It will take you to an opening page describe your item, that has a slot for a PubMed ID number (PMID) and DOI. Ignore this page and click Next.

bullet On the next two pages, you will have to enter the following information: Language, Title, Author(s), Affiliation (MSF, Epicentre, etc) and in Description add the conference where it was presented. You do not need to fill in any of the other boxes.

bullet On the 4th page of the program, upload a file, will ask you to browse for the file. We prefer a pdf but can accept a Word document. Browse and enter the file. Ignore “File description” and continue by clicking Next.

bullet The next page will show file uploaded successfully. Click Next.

bullet The next page will ask you to verify submission. You can make any corrections necessary here. Click Next.

bullet You will now reach the I grant the licence page – click on this.

bullet You are finished and can either return to My MSF and resubmit something else, or whatever. The article now goes into a holding file where I will verify and edit it (attributions, etc). Thanks!
